Teacher of Humanities (Geography or History)
Overview
We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about their subject, someone who will excite and engage pupils in their learning and lay strong foundations for success in the next stage of their journey. Our pupils are happy, confident young people, it’s our responsibility to see they are given the knowledge, skills and opportunities to excel.

Personal attribute
We are looking for an excellent Teacher of Humanities (Geography or History) with:
- experience of effective teaching at KS3, KS4 and KS5 (able to teach Geography or History up to KS3 and one or both to GCSE, with potential for A Level teaching);
- very high expectations of what can be achieved;
- a proven track record in raising pupil attainment and making a difference;
- an understanding of how children learn and the complexities of this process;
- a strong desire to work in unity and collaboration with colleagues, parents, pupils and the school community;
- experience of following direction and being a proactive team player;
- strong interpersonal skills;
- a creative and innovative approach to school improvement;
- the ability lead on the educational progress, achievement and enrichment experience (including trips, rewards and clubs);
- the ability to be flexible, calm, work under pressure and manage change effectively;
- the ability to be kind, positive and committed to the school’s inclusive ethos.
