Kitchen Assistant
Overview
We are looking for creative, motivated and excellent Kitchen Assistant who would relish the opportunity to join our innovative team. You will be fundamental in contributing to this vibrant local community within the Local Authority’s first all-through school for children and young people aged 3 to 19 in South London.
Personal attributes
We are looking for enthusiastic and conscientious Kitchen assistant who:
- experience of preparing fresh interesting and nutritious meals
- work with the head chef/sous chef on recipes and menu ideas.
- good grasp of multiple cooking methods and an understanding of correct cooking; procedures such as blanching, searing, grilling, steaming, browning and sautéing;
- understand the needs of pupils with special dietary requirements and allergens.
- able to encourage children to select a balanced meal.

Salary & Benefits
Scale 1/2 £27,306 - £28,128 pro rata
Working hours: 9.00 to 3.00pm, Monday to Friday
