Pre-Learning

In order to prepare students for their chosen courses of study, each subject sets a series of pre-learning tasks over the summer holiday following Induction Week. This helps us to ensure that students can hit the ground running in September and are ready to succeed in sixth form.

Plus-Learning

To really succeed at sixth form, students need to go beyond standard curriculum. The expectation at Woodmansterne Sixth Form is that for each subject, students are utilising their study time to enrich their classroom learning. Alongside set home learning tasks, we produce plus-learning activities for students to engage with to ensure maximum achievement in their chosen courses.

Post-Learning

We recognise that all students need to have a clear idea of the end goal. Seeing where subjects can take us is an important aspect of learning and helps students maintain motivation towards their ultimate aims. Each department produces a post-learning document to signpost future learning and employment opportunities post-18.
